I didn't go far for this week's post. Mostly I stayed in my own yard and played with the macro adapters!
Old snow from the archives.
Unmowed grass.
Grilled sesame seeds.

Paving in the back yard.
A bench I painted last year. It said it was outdoor paint....
A recently disturbed ant nest.
Black currants just before harvest to try a yummy-sounding crème de cassis recipe.

as usual your photos are great, don't you hate it when you paint something and it peels immediately - except that it makes for a nice texture photo. I enjoyed all the photos and wonder about the beauty in your garden.
Excellent photos, Science Girl. But the old glove and the radish in our header win the prize!
All of my photos came from my home and backyard as well. Please come visit my site for some pictures:

Love these macro shots!! The hidy bug is cool...but the ants nest (well, lets just say that I'm not a science girl)
:)
Happy Friday!
great variety. I seem to always forget to find smooth items - will have to look around again this week.
I'll try to make the rounds after work, Kitten, or over the weekend. Thanks for the comments, everyone!
Lots of your backyard pics could have come from my backyard in the Pacific NW! Queen Anne's lace, grass, peeling paint. Nice job! Merci.
nice series of texture shots around your home. very creative!
Your header would have fit right in with your series of pics this week. Terrific selection of texture shots.
I love these! I need to learn to take better macro shots, it's not something I'm any good at yet...
Great shots, the bug on the Queen Anne Lace is my favorite.
What a wonderful Friday post. I so want that apricot. Nature shots are fab, but the the gloves and radish really rock.
Thanks for being a part of our shoot out. Ir is people like you who make it so successful. And fun!
Love your furry friends, too. What a hoot.
I could almost smell the sesame seeds roasting! and the nectarine, warmed from the sun and juicy - yum!
