Friday Photo Shoot Out: Rainbow colors

Not having any time to go out for fresh pictures this week, here are some brightly colored shots from the archives. The Pyramid at the Louvre.
Market day in Tarare.
Bougainvillea in Marrakech.
Carpets in Marrakech.
Toy train in a local park.
A painting by my friend Dan, before he added all the bright red leaves to it.
Tubes for snow tubing at SuperBesse.
An abandoned car near William's place.
I hope next week I'll have a bit of time to go out and shoot something new!

I just want to thank my brother for having the patience to get the long-exposure shot of the pyramid. Took several tries!

Enjoyed the photos. How well we remember the markets. The best food, produce, flowers anywhere. And the most colorful people. Friendliest, too.

I think I am in love with that inner tube photo. I have never seen such colorful ones before, all I ever knew were the original black car tire inner tubes we used as a kid. Sledding would be a lot more fun with all that color going down a snowy hill. And that pyramid in front of the Louve, just perfect so full of the rainbow colors!! Nice shots!! Debby

Love the louvre! (Although saying "love the louvre" 3 times real fast is a hoot. Dan's painting is perfect...I don't know why he'd want to add leaves. Wonderful colors in total.

Whoa! Excuse me while I get my sunglasses.

What a wonderful job you did. The first photo is awesome.

I would give up one of my cameras for one of those carpets. Well, maybe not. Besides, my cats would tear it to shreds.

Have I been missing your shootouts? I have been kind of busy, and if I miss someone they should knock me up side the head, in a virtual manner, of course.

You have a great weekend, and thanks for joining us!

The finished painting is hanging in my living room, Mark; I'll try to remember to take a good picture of it. It's great. But even Dan liked the preliminary version so much he's doing another one, a winter version. Can't wait to have them both!

Beautiful shots! The nagging question, though, is how could you exclude Maurice from the colors of the rainbow?
Maurice, come live with me. You and Scruffy will be Friday Shoot-out stars.

NanU said...

But Maurice has an Entire Blog to himself! He muscles in on my territory enough as it is. Just watch for the results of next Sunday's barbeque, put on by the Facebook "Fans of Maurice"...
