This week's Shoot Out theme is Angels.
I don't have any of my Normandy photos digitized, but this is Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, where many American angels rest overlooking the sea.
Angels posts from other Shootout members can be found here: be sure to stop by!
Merry Christmas, all!

Oh, that is powerful and a lovely tribute to those who lost their lives. Great interpretation of this weeks theme.
Thank you for this. My parents and grandparents back several great-greats are in national cemeteries. The graves are beautiful and sad at the same time; so many soldiers and their spouses at rest.
Yes, we cannot forget the lost angels...I always think of this when I pass a cemetery, or memorial park...thank you for reminding us!
A really wonderful take on the theme! Angels, absolutely.
Here's wishing you a wonderful Christmas!!!
That's a stunning photo of the gravestones and the sea. Wow. Beautiful. And that sky. California skies are SO cerulean, I guess because of the Pacific. Well, who knows, maybe.
Happy Christmas!!
Lovely photos but oh so sad especially as soldiers are still dieing and getting injured today x
Beautiful and timely post of angels. May they all be at rest in the ethers and not still toiling here. Stunning photograph.
Beautiful, sad, solemn, sweet reminder of angels. Merci.
