My own contribution is still cooking, but it will be up on Monday when I get to work. So far we've got:
Jessica is first off the batk
Niamh and her delicious lost souls
merci à Jeanne pour ses haiku
et puis Weaver et ses bonnes recommendations.
Silver nous raconte toute une histoire,
pendant que Heather part travailler chez des fous.
Dave is taking quite a trip (perhaps these bits are toxic in large quantities, I do hope you come down soon and take a bit of nourishment).
Dominic flirts with Vogonness but it doesn't come with sound, so we are saved.
Unclear if it's nice to be thought of by TFE. Get that man a Guiness! Quick!
Titus has a rippimg yarn
A bit of stargazing by the Watercats
And Gwei Mui giving it a try
Izzy having a fizzy,
While Rachel is focussed and smooth.
More on Monday, and by then I'll have my own otertn together, so come on back, y'all!
Dr FTSE is on board, I think.
Enchanted Oak enchants
Finding her motra is Helen
and our favorite Martin.
Jinksy leaping on board!
Lydia has come running on fumes and I would attach the link but just clicking on it has made Internet Explorer crash six times straight. Maybe you will have better luck: go to the other Poetry Bus post, the one with the task, to the last comment, and she is there.
And now for some Erratic Thoughts before you go.
Finally, my own contribution is having technical difficulties. I wrote it Sunday night. Really I did. I folded it up and put it on the breakfast table. I remember clearly that I put it in the outside pocket of my bag. But it is not there now. I hope I am insane and have left it on the table, because I'm not sure of coming up with a good replacement!
Oh, here we are!
And Padhraig too!
I would like to note I have just used "fimbria" in normal(ish) conversation, so maybe the frontier between fake and real words is thin...

Wow! How did I miss this chance to have fun with verification words? Probably because I don't get on Blogspot like I used to. Do you suppose that Lewis Carrol had a time machine and used verification words in writing the Jabberwocky? That's my guess.
I have responded to your challenge with Her Jugaries.
I'm riding the bus today! You can find me ...........

I've bought another ticket this week.
My contribution is at http://square

Hop on board, Mark! Special pause, just for you. In fact, my own contribution won't be up until Tuesday (I do hope it's on the breakfast table, and not lying in the street in the rain!)
I adore Jabberwocky. Used to know the whole thing by heart, though now I get lost somewhere in the second stanza. And I did name the cat Frumious Bandersnatch.
Who knew they'd all be this good!
What a prompt!
Thanks for punching my late ticket! The link to my poem is HERE. I am sorry you are having trouble with a link to it...that kind of thing drove me away from Internet Explorer to Firefox. :)
Late but laughin' ; http://pjnolan.blogspot.com/2010/08/poetry-bus-weirdly-visions.html
Terribly sorry I missed your bus, Nanu. There has been an unforeseen development in my personal life of late that is consuming a great deal of my time (all will be revealed). I did attempt to work out a poem on the verification words topic, but I'm afraid my mind was too filled with other things. I hope to catch you on the next go-round!
Apologies,
Kat
No problem at all Kat! You do what you need to do. We all have things in our lives that are far more pressing - this is just for fun and kicks. I'm looking forward to reading you again, once things have settled. I hope it's nothing bad!
(If I wrote a note every time I missed a P-Bus or a Shootout, I'd be doing nothing but that! I've missed the Magpie Tale every single time since the third one, and still mean to pick it up again.)
