Big Red Poetry Bus

thanks, Eejit, for today's poetry prompt, which is to describe one's Philosophy of Life/Afterlife/Everything.
Alright....
That's either a novel in 8 volumes, or something really really short.

So says I

Here
Now
Real
All you can be
(without joining the military)
no tomorrow
....my life
....ends with my life
so I have to do it here
be here
love now
make a difference now
Dreams are not for later
Dust is dust
....Stardust perhaps
....but dust
Go as far as you can go
Because the end of the road is the end
and after that is just peaceful, well-earned sleep.
.
.
And with that the Poetry Bus can go careening down the road to the next stop. Jump on!

ahaaa!.. this is so spot on! and it's something we all try to aspire to, but isn't annoying how complicated it becomes to do the obvious! :-)
I love the freshness this little poem is made of! cheers!

Like it! Short and crisp and very much to the point.

Very yogic - a great sentiment really nicely expressed. Liked this a lot

Peaceful, well-earned sleep...
But, perchance, to dream. Ay there's the rub...

That was a beautiful poem. Of course I believe this isn't just all there is, but the life we have now is all we can live whilst we're here. Lovely.

I love those three single word opening lines, such a statement of intent, and the poem did not disappoint afterwards. Really clean, effective writing - enjoyed it tremendously.

I really like the stardust line and the advice about living NOW!
