Friday Photo Shootout: Look up, look down

This week's Shootout theme is "Look up, Look down". Which I wish I had time to treat more cleverly and all, but it's also the 5th Assises de Génétique and thus I'm on the road for an interesting meeting. Sciency posts in the near future, so stop back later!

Ooh, I love the last shot of the cat looking up and how his shadow is cast along the wall. Great shot. My favorite photo is the third one of the blue sky and the tree. It has such an interesting shape. It just draws me in.

I love looking at the clouds passing by, from the ground and way up there in the plane! Love the photos of the bare trees against the beautiful blue sky.

I love the shots. And the cats. But I noticed an amazing thing. In the last shot, the shadow of the cat is actually a rat shadow! Now that is one very clever and magical rodent!

You must be the few people who take their cats for walks. They are lukcy cats.

Cute, it is like a little kitten story between the ups!

I like your cats perspective! I also like the banner combatants as well, last week when they were chowin down cracked me up...I used to play a game with the kids and we would hide kermit the frog, and everyone had to keep up with his antics!

I must admit, Ann, that I've been so busy lately that I took all the cat pictures in 20 minutes in my garden Sunday, and the sky ones are leftover from Birds (where there weren't any!)

Nice little excursion with your buddies! Hope you took your camera to Strasbourg, what a gorgeous place.

Thanks for the feline photos. I think it takes a very special person to love a cat. I also think cats only love very special people. You fit the bill. Nice shots! I kept looking for the cat in the tree, but couldn't find it.
That's ok, I'm alergic to 'em.

Your cats are wonderfully photogenic. Maurice had better watch out.

I loved the skeletal branches of the trees reaching for the sky.

aren't bare branches beautiful. when in school, 50,000 years ago, when I was supposed to be taking notes I used to draw trees.... guess that is why I am not a scientist.

I like the images of the tree branches sillhouetted against the blue sky.
